Tech Uncon for Principals

Tomorrow, Friday July 12, my friend Craig Hammond (@hammondcr) and I will be hosting a small tech uncon only for principals. We are calling it PrincipalMeet (a derivative of TeachMeet).

Currently we have 25 principals coming from area schools, some private and some public. All the presenters, excluding me, will be principals, including: @PatrickMLarkin, @drfurman, @DaveMeister_, @drizzinkwine, @mccoyderek, @MarkZiebarth, @tchilders, and @kevcreutz.

We will only have 1 or 2 onsite presenters. The rest will be offsite and we will use Google Hangouts On Air to facilitate and live broadcast. Feel free to watch live https://www.youtube.com/user/Taylorchinesescience/feed from 9 – 4 CDT

Topics will include

  • Using Youtube, Twitter, & Facebook to build and inform school community
  • Evernote
  • Online Realtime Collaboration
  • Google forms for Intructional Supervision
  • TinyVox Pro
  • Twitter for Admin
  • Wunderlist
  • Screencast-o-matic
  • Dropbox

After running a few Nashville TeachMeets, principals began asking if we would be willing to run another TeachMeet just for principals. We thought this was a great idea so put things in motion in early June of this year.

I hope that you will join us tomorrow whether you are a principal or not. We will use the #prncplmeet hashtag.

Here is the schedule – https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkkZb3JUuzBcdGl3TFBXdVpBakNUTE42V3VsTUVVMnc&usp=sharing

I’ll post later on the outcome. Hopefully next year we will make it a little bigger and better.

As a result of our small number of attendees we will only be running sessions in one room.
